Objective: Enhance the power and agency of activists and organizations in influencing policies for protecting civic space by building network and coalition-building platforms across multiple countries, regions, and themes.  

To amplify the voice, agency and influence of civil society activists and human rights defenders in protecting civic space and human rights in closed and repressive environments, RS will develop and expand coordination among civil society groups. RS has developed ties with human rights activists and civil society groups from closed and repressive spaces and is well-equipped to assist civil society organizations and activists in building cross-regional networks and providing opportunities for constructive working relationships. RS will facilitate in-person and virtual meetings and workshops between communities of activists and human rights defenders. Through these sessions, participants can engage with and learn from the experiences of other activists from other countries who have faced similar challenges. Participants will be able to cultivate relationships and partnerships among each other and identify shared interests and challenges that can lead to future collaboration
